chp 6

a reporter from new york comes over to mr. gatsby's house to ask him about his life. thats when nick informs her about how he started out as poor nobody from when he was seventeen. he includes everything from then until the man you see today. about how Dan Cody was his mentor and gave him food, clothes, and place to sleep. until mr. cody mysteriously dies and his wife takes everything. including the money he set aside for mr. gatsby. tom doesn't not like gatsby. he is starting to have an idea that there might be something between gatsby and daisy. and is insulting by both of them all night. with daisy giving him a pencil to write girls addresses and gatsby saying he "knows" his wife and by calling him the "polo player".
by now you start to see a big change in mr. gatsby's parties now that he doesnt need to impress daisy anymore.

1) Pap is telling huck that he wont stand for this any longer. that huck is being disgraceful by making Pap look bad. he is telling him that he'll beat him if he doesnt stop going to school. this is ironic because pretty much everybody wants there kids too do well and go to school; but pap is too self center and stubborn too have a heart to care for him.
2)
3)
4)
5)
6)
7) the irony in Huck finding the bread is that. the bread was blessed and is supposed to find huck where ever he may be. and although he isnt dead it found him. so in a way the towns people praying for it too find him worked
8)
9)
10)
11)
12) huck playing tricks on jim is quite like him. he's fairly immature and takes everything like its it a game. and he doesnt really treat jim like the adult he is. i think huck learns to ease back a bit and realized that he is a person too and that he is quite a bit older then him and that he should think things through a bit more.
13)
14)
15) the satire involved with the reward money is that Pap being the father who is a bum doesnt care or nyone but himself. is always drunk. steals huck. beats him reguraly. and wants his money, is supposedly less likely too kill huck on the bases that jim is black so he must have done it.
